I got that Rimbaud cover done that I mentioned in the previous post, and I got a couple of extra ones done as well by Hermann Hesse. Now I’m going to bed.

the list

I remember whern I was in high school, I’d have the desire to draw, but didn’t have any idea what to draw. Nowdays, I seem to have lots of ideas for what to draw, but not as much time to do it.

I’ve just stolen a bit of time from other things that I should have been doing, and roughed out a book cover for Rimbaud’s A Season in Hell. I’ll get to inking it at some point. Shortly, I’ll get to thumbing through the new 2006 Children’s Writer’s & Illustrator’s Market to find some art directors to send my work to. But other things I wanted to get to this weekend (but won’t get to all of them) are…

  • The Dream of Lydia Jane (an illustration)
  • Black Trumpet Soup (illustration)
  • Long John Pilgrim, the Thanksgiving Pirate (illustration)
  • Gourds (illustration)
  • Raymond and the Sun Pirates (book dummy)
  • Claude Claude (book dummy)

And this list neglects the other larger projects that have been pushed to the side until the smaller, more immediate projects are completed.

huge additions

You may have noticed a flurry of activity here on inkyboy. I’ve added a new illustration for Halloween, and an entirely new section for design work. with eighteen new pieces. And, as always, there’s more on the way. Enjoy browsing!
